Interview Advice - it is important to quickly build rapport and a relationship with the interviewer - here is some advice on how to do this:
You must seem keen or else there is no point in turning up. However, don't be too friendly too quickly, or you may appear false. Instead, hold yourself back, and increase your level of curiosity.
Decisions can be made within the first few seconds of meeting with you, even before you answer your first question. How you shake their hand, walk, if you have an air of confidence about you can all be important factors. The way you present yourself can help influence a person’s impression of you, so it is important to dress well etc.
This must be carried out in a subtle way however it can be a good way of building rapport. Don't make it too obvious, however, as it can appear false. Once you have mirrored the interviewer for a little while, you will both feel more comfortable and you can lead the situation more, which will work to your advantage and they will actually start to follow/mirror you.
Taking them time to prepare properly for an interview can make the difference between getting a job and not getting it
