Facilities Assistant role based in London working for one of the countries largest Insurance companies. You will join a stable Facilities Team in a fantastic building in the heart of the City. This position is perfect for a candidate that is looking for a career in FM and a company that provides support and training to a management level.
Daily duties will include;
Post Room duties
Ensure all daily post is distributed to all UK House personnel.
Frank and mail out all external post
Credit franking machine.
Ensure general amenities are fully equipped each morning for all office staff, ie restock coffee machines; photocopier machines with paper; take milk to kitchens, empty waste container on binding machines daily etc.
Ensure Meeting Rooms are kept in order and ready for use.
Monitor and order all stock for coffee, tea, milk etc.
Monitor stationery cupboard, keep clean and tidy and fully stocked.
Monitor and maintain (call service engineers) if required for franking machine and photocopiers etc. Together with ordering any toners, ink, staples and labels for machines.
Liaise with Receptionist with regard to any cleaning issues, so they can be reported to cleaning company.
Cover switchboard/Reception during Receptionist's lunch breaks and on any ad hoc occasions.
Book any Couriers as and when requested by offices staff.
Greet visitors and have sign in Guest Book and notify member of staff they are visiting.
Log in any deliveries
Maintain and carry out any small remedial works required around the office, ie repair cupboard doors, hang notice boards and pictures etc.
Escalate repair requests to relevant contractors
