Role: SHEQ Manager/Health & Safety Manager

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Car/Allowance + Benefits

I am currently working with a medium sized housing and construction contractor who are based throughout London and the South East. The organisation have a requirement for a SHEQ Manager to join their Health & Safety team based from the head office close to Rochester. The candidate would have experience within this sector and at least 5 years' experience working in a similar position where they were responsible for developing the company's Health and Safety initiative.
The Ideal candidate will hold a Health and Safety qualification Ideally a NEBOSH Diploma or Construction certificate or an NVQ in Health & Safety, The ability to show evidence of monitoring, reviewing, preparing and publishing policies and procedures that apply in multi-site operations. In addition evidence of the use of continuous improvement would be desirable.
The role requires excellent communication skills both verbal and written and strong negotiation skills to ensure that all sites develop their Health and Safety compliance culture in a consistent manner. TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION YOU MUST BE BASED IN THE UK AND COME FROM A CONSTRUCTION OR HOUSING BACKGROUND.
