Our client is a leading independent firm of chartered surveyors and property consultants with offices across the UK and looking to recruit a chartered surveyor to join the development team based in the West End.
Working in the very well-established development team on some of the highest profile developments in London providing development consultancy and transactional advice to major public and private sector clients including development and regeneration agencies, developers and investors.
Working with architects and planners to produce feasibility studies, conducting site searches and land assembly for commercial and residential schemes.
Assisting with acquisitions and disposals including preparation of sales and marketing information, conducting inspections and negotiating deals.
Assisting in pitches to win new business and working on the details with regards to instructions.
Carrying out development feasibility appraisals using Argus Developer and excel appraisals.
Maintaining contact with clients, other internal departments and external development teams.
Liaising with architects, quantity surveyors and planning advisors.
Maintaining close control of costs and invoicing.
New business development/promoting the profile of the department through networking.
MRICS with 2 + years' PQE.
Experience in development appraisal, advisory and acquisition and disposal work.
Strong track record in the commercial/residential/mixed use schemes.
Well-presented with good communication and negotiation skills.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Able to deliver client presentations, with attention to detail and good organization skills.
Computer literate and good understanding of Excel and Word.
Good networking skills with both external clients and internal partners.
Good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to manage several projects.
Highly motivated, energetic, with drive and commitment.
Knowledge of the development process including advice on affordable housing and S06 viability issues.
Attention to detail, well organized with strong verbal, numerical and report writing skills.
Strong analytical skills with a strategic approach to problem solving.
Computer literate, particularly Excel and an understanding of residual appraisals and development cash-flow processes.
