Our client is major London NHS Trust and they are currently looking for an experirenced Water Technician for an assignment until the end of February 2021.
The successful candidate will be the following;
- Experienced with working and adhering to and are compliance with government regulations, environmental and Health and Safety standards, preferably in the Health Care environment with HTM's
Experience of working in a regulated environment.
Experience in troubleshooting and monitoring processes and products.
Proven experience in Maintenance environment
L8 City and Guilds certificate with at least 2 years' experience delivering water services to SFG20 and HTMO4 requirements.
The main responsibilities will include the day to day checking, flushing and recording of all water systems for compliance with L8 ACOP written scheme, this will include measuring, recording and reporting water temperature results.
Deliver the maintenance program of works together with associated reactive jobs for water services.
Operate as CP for water services
Support the Helpdesk team and Managers as required to deliver the service.
Participate in training to develop and become a Competent Person (CP) for HTM's within the contract.
Support other buildings within the estate as required.
Other duties will include;
- All flushing, sampling and actions from any L8 risk assessment actions are completely in line with scheduled dates.
Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the building are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made. These reactive calls to also include concessionary stores and fabric related items.
Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly reported to relevant team via Helpdesk
Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works. To provide parts lists and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works.
Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the compliance administrator.
Sampling, servicing installing and descaling TMV's (6 monthly and annual service programme)
Daily, two - weekly, weekly tap and shower flushing and keeping the records up to date in relevant log books
Chlorine dioxide equipment checks
CWST temperature and CLO2 checks
HWS calorifier flow and return temperature, CLO2 and equipment checks
Sentinel temperature and CLO2 checks
Water softener salt level top up, equipment checks and water tests
Dead leg removal
