Strategic Asset Manager – London – Social Housing

My client is recruiting for a Strategic Asset Manager to join their Asset Management team on a permanent basis. The position will lead on the organisation’s approach to asset performance management and option appraisals, as well as monitoring performance reports, vfm assessments and benchmarking activities.

The Strategic Asset Manager will:

  • Develop, implement and manage an asset management strategy specific to the customer needs and requirements, including stock options appraisals.
  • Work closely with the organisations procurement team to deliver on strategic procurement targets.
  • Take a lead in analysis of the stock performance data, working closely with data analysts within the organisation.
  • Identify operational, energy and cost efficiencies through innovative and forward-thinking approach to asset maintenance, replacement and upgrades.
  • Support the Head of Asset Management in the development of the organisation’s 5, 10 and 30 year asset strategy.

The Strategic Asset Manager will have:

  • Extensive experience within a similar role, either for a housing association or a local authority.
  • An understanding of Asset Management strategy within a social housing provider.
  • Membership of RICS, CIOB or similar professional organisation.
  • Evidence of multiple senior stake holder management, both internal and external.
