Build Recruitment are working with a leading London based University to make the key appointment of shift engineers working on a days and nights basis: £50k - £55k + excellent benefits.

Due to a significant and positive period of change the University has identified the need for shift engineers to assist with the service and maintenance across the University campuses.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager the technical shift engineers will need to have a great understanding of the electrical and mechanical industry and working on a large commercial portfolio.

The shift engineers will be operating on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern where they will be tasked and focused on carrying out different electrical and mechanical duties and will be working on different technical equipment including, single and three phase DB Boards; AHU's; FCU's; CRAC Units and more.

About you:

It is essential that applicants have:

Must be 17 th or 18 TH Edition and hold their Level 3 NVQ or City and Guilds in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Experience of working in a large and technical team

Experience of working on large commercial contract previously (Preferable Education and Universities or Hospitals)

Detailed understanding of both electrical and mechanical equipment carrying out service and maintenance including reactive duties and daily PPM's



Salary: £50k - £55k

Pension: up to 21.6% employer's contribution

Annual Leave: circa 40 days (inclusive of bank holidays)
