Role: SHEQ Advisor/Manager
Location: East London
Salary/Day Rate: Competitve
I am currently working with a medium sized housing and refurbishment contractor who are looking to bring on board a SHEQ Advisor/Manager to head up their H&S team, initially working on a 3 day a week basis but this will increase as the workload builds up. The candidate would have experience within this sector and at least 3/5 years’ experience working in a similar position where they were responsible for developing the company's Health and Safety initiative.
The Ideal candidate will hold a Health and Safety qualification Ideally a NEBOSH Diploma or Construction certificate or an NVQ in Health & Safety, The ability to show evidence of monitoring, reviewing, preparing and publishing policies and procedures that apply in multi-site operations. In addition evidence of the use of continuous improvement would be desirable.
The role requires excellent communication skills both verbal and written and strong negotiation skills to ensure that all sites develop their Health and Safety compliance culture in a consistent manner. TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION YOU MUST BE BASED IN THE UK AND COME FROM A CONSTRUCTION OR HOUSING BACKGROUND.
