We are currently working with a well renown local authority who are currently on the look out for a Shared Lives Placement Officer, for a ongoing contract Assignment.
The successful candidate must have;
The ability to effectively assess Shared Lives carers to provide a service to people with learning disabilities and other vulnerable people in need of care and support
The ability to enable change and improvement in Shared Lives carers practice and to work in partnership with Shared Lives carers in a professional way, recognising and minimising potential conflicts
The ability to liaise, negotiate and communicate with a range of professionals, Shared Lives carers and vulnerable service users in order to ensure the continuity of a high quality service and satisfaction for Shared Lives carers and service users
The ability to solve problems, resolve issues and work in a creative and flexible way to ensure that outcomes for Shared Lives carers and service users are met
The ability to write comprehensive reports to a high standard, to undertake administrative and financial duties and to use IT systems effectively
The ability to proactively work to deadlines, often within tight timescales and to manage own case load within a pressured and demanding environment
Hold a full driving license and have regular use of a vehicle and be willing to undertake flexible working (including some evenings) and regular travelling to out of borough placements
Substantial experience of direct work with people with a learning disability and/or other social care support needs including residential or supported living, day support, community based services, care management, outreach or similar
Experience of working in a supervisory capacity
This role is full time, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm until the end of may (subject to extension)
