Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor- Main Contractor

Salary: £60-£75k + car / allowance & package

Location: Hampshire/ Berkshire + Flexible working (inc WFH)

The Role:

With our diverse portfolio of projects, my client is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor who has a passion for the project at hand, and securing work, whilst also being able to work within a good and healthy team environment. They understand this approach is essential to ensure they consistently win work and secure repeat business.

You will be working on a portfolio of projects predominantly involving the recladding of high-rise buildings, in which, by their nature, are safety critical works and involve significant fire and general safety risk, with typical project values between £2M and £9M, and of a construction nature. You will be joining a newly formed team specialising in this new workstream which has huge long-term growth opportunity, in which successful applicants will have a huge opportunity to grow and develop as this new workstream evolves.

 Key Responsibilities:

As the Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be part of a small team dedicated to the pre-construction and delivery process of either two stage or single stage opportunities. You will be expected to commercially manage all aspects of these opportunities / projects and your key responsibilities will be to manage the upstream Client account, effectively manage costs, drive profitability, manage risk in a safe, effective and ethical manner; and be responsible for identifying new commercial opportunities in the area and managing relationships with the Client and the appointed professional team.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will oversee the appointment & management of subcontractors for successful delivery of cost, quality and duration, have accountability for pricing of additional works, resolve any contractual issues from our client and supply chain; and take ownership of Value Cost Reconciliation, forecasts, financial reports and contract reviews, to produce the required Commercial Plans in line with our Business Plan.
