Quantity Surveyor – Social Housing

Type: Permanent

Location: Manchester

Salary: Up To £50,000 per annum + package

I am currently looking for an experience Quantity Surveyor to work on a repairs and maintenance contract in Manchester.

As the Quantity Surveyor, you will work in conjunction with the more senior commercial member in branch to ensure appropriate commercial controls are in place and adhered to in order to secure the company’s full entitlement through the contract. You will build long term, influential relationships with preferred suppliers to provide flexibility to changing business needs; negotiating with partners and controlling the commercial aspects of the supply chain in order to gear maximum leverage and create economically advantageous arrangements for Fortem.

• Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor

• Previous experience of Pricing Planned work and/or Repairs and Maintenance

• Social housing experience

• QS degree or equivalent

• Contractual awareness

• Negotiating, communication & presentation skills

• Knowledge of Supply Chain management
