Experienced Project Surveyor needed for a Social Housing Organisation based in Hampshire. Responsible for ensuring the delivery of strategic and planned maintenance projects and will manage specialist project work to include all aspects of surveying. You will spend a lot of time on site inspecting and specifying works, and this will bring the opportunity to work flexibly and remotely at times in this role.
With a keen eye for the detail you will help ensure tenant safety and legal and regulatory compliance too.
As a project surveyor working in our dynamic asset management team, you will help us transform the built environment within our communities, changing the way our customers feel about where they live. You will be working in a collaborative culture with a strong sense of being part of a team.
Core areas of role include:
Manage delivery of specific planned programmes to meet deadlines and within budget.
Ensure compliance with government standards, regulation, H&S and industry best practice.
Delivery of contracts/services (out of scope of SLA).
Lead on all aspects related to planning applications for major works programmes.
Procure contracts in accordance with EU rules.
Manage contractors and review contractors' performance.
Take appropriate actions to remedy poor performance.
Ensure contractor documentation is up-to-date and the contract register completed.
Prepare specifications, tenders, estimates and contracts for external services, ensuring that they adhere to policies and procedures and all statutory requirements.
Assist the Asset Manager in managing and administering the SLA to ensure best practice is met.
Assist in monitoring SLA performance for compliance with organisational needs and requirements.
