Job Title: Project Manager

Location: London Areas & South East

Start Date: ASAP, Temp to Perm

our client is a reputable construction and development company specializing in existing buildings and high-rise buildings (HRBs). With a focus on facades, external wall insulation (EWI), structural alterations, and general complex planned works, they pride ourselves on delivering exceptional results in both modern and heritage settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, within budget, and on schedule.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Understand and implement the RIBA Plan of works process and JCT contracts.
  • Provide technical expertise in existing buildings and structures, addressing challenges and proposing effective solutions.
  • Work in conservation and heritage areas, adhering to preservation guidelines and regulations.
  • Effectively communicate project objectives, requirements, and progress to stakeholders.
  • Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Monitor project budgets, expenses, and resource allocation to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience in a Project Manager role within the construction industry, preferably with a focus on existing buildings and high-rise buildings.
  • Proficient understanding of the RIBA Plan of works process and JCT contracts.
  • Strong technical knowledge of existing buildings and structures, including facades, EWI, and structural alterations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate teams.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Highly organized with the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
