Build Recruitment are working with a University in South East to source a Capital Works Project Manager. £47k - £56k.
Reporting to the Director of Estates, the Project Manager will be responsible for designing, leading or managing construction projects/programmes for alterations, refurbishments and improvements from inception to completion. Projects typically are in the range of £50k - £5m.
Good knowledge of construction and of applicable statutory regulations including Building regulations, town planning, Construction Design and Management (CDM) and Health & Safety at Works Act is essential.
Experience of working with JCT suite of contracts is essential and a good working knowledge of BIM and 2D/3D CAD drawing packages is desirable (refresher or training will be offered).
You will be an excellent communicator and natural collaborator, with strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating high level negotiating skills, credibility and authority.
A dregree or equivalent in Architecture, Building Services Engineering, Project Management or Building Surveying is essential and membership of a professional body (RIBA, RICS, CIOB, APM) is desirable.
