Operations Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Operations Manager working for a leading service provider in a hospital. The role will involve looking after the contract on behalf of the service provider to maximise Health & Safety, Financial and Commercial contract performance.

Responsibilities

  • The Operations Manager will identity opportunities to reduce costs, improve quality and performance and take corrective action where necessary
  • Holding formal contract review meetings with the client
  • Identity opportunities to reduce costs, improve quality and performance and take corrective action where necessary
  • The Operations Manager will be responsible for developing good relationships with CAFM and site teams
  • Implement robust mitigation processes and strategies across the PFI business such as rectification extension and temporary repair process
  • Minimise contract risks and develop plans of action for any issues
  • Follow up performance related action plans as agreed during meetings with senior staff and the client

Skills and Experience

  • The Operations Manager must have a technical understanding of building services engineering and an engineering qualification together with relevant trade experience
  • Must be fully electrically or mechanically qualified
  • Previous experience with the commercial M&E environment
  • Experience of managing M&E projects
  • Managing progress reports and people and stakeholder expectations
  • Strong communication, influencing and planning skills plus ideally a solid understanding of retail operations
  • Experience managing a medium sized M&E contract
  • PFI experience preferred
