To win, direct and deliver through excellent leadership, profitable maintenance services to social housing clients.
For the successful candidate to lead the business through the short-term integration of group infrastructure systems, support and develop the management teams and in the long term grow the business unit to upwards of £40m turnover. With top and bottom-line growth, a Managing Director promotion can be earnt.
Leader of the business with overall accountability for business performance – to include functional responsibilities, input to business strategy and business improvement programmes. Responsible for developing, setting and performance managing strategy, from mobilisation to exceptional customer satisfaction by delivering best in class services.
Overall and complete accountability for the customer relationship, total accountability for risk management and performance reporting to include financial, operational, safety and business improvement programmes.
Business leadership to include resourcing, training and development, coaching and performance management, personnel of 700+ employees.
Total accountability for P&L across 3x business units with focus on work winning, driving operational efficiencies and net profit growth, incentivised with bonus scheme.
An ambitious and proven senior operator with excellent knowledge of the social housing sector with genuine hunger and drive to grow a business. P&L leadership, net profit ownership and a diverse range of services delivered is key. Soft services experience is preferred but not essential, leadership of SMTs and DLO models is key.
Must have a comprehensive understanding of the ins and outs of providing maintenance services to social housing organisations and experience dealing with stakeholders at all levels from G15 Boards to Asset and Property Services Directors, to Housing and Asset Managers, surveying teams and tenants.
Candidates must be commercially minded and profit driven, they must also have a solid understanding of the work winning / procurement process in the housing sector to work closely with internal business functions including Bid and BD teams.
