Build are working with a Yorkshire based HA as they look to make several interim appointments to their Development & Growth team.

One of the role we are working with them on is the appointment of two New Business Managers.

The successful candidates will report to the Director of Development and each have a Development Officer as a direct report.

Job Purpose

  • 1.   Achieve annual new build home growth targets
  • 2.   New range of products and sales led schemes are effectively delivered and successful
  • 3.   Procedures and financial monitoring of schemes are improved and compliant leading to effective budget management and financial viability of individual schemes and the overall programme

Key Duties, Responsibilities and Performance Outputs

  • Generate a consistent and continuous pipeline of financially viable new business development opportunities which contribute towards the successful delivery of our clients Development Growth strategy.
  • Develop key partnerships and relationships which facilitate the delivery of growth targets
  • To deliver the Brand Objectives to establish our client as a key residential developer and partner across West Yorkshire.
  • To be innovative in the approach and continuously seek new business growth opportunities.
  • To generate new business developments opportunities which are aligned to the Growth strategy requirements and targets, which are sourced via land acquisition, land and build packages or section 106 acquisitions
  • To ensure that all new business opportunities are managed to achieve efficient procurement approaches, deliver maximum VFM and comply with our clients internal policies and procedures.
  • To liaise, negotiate and develop effective working relationships with consultants, developers /contractors, suppliers in the development and delivery of all new business projects.
  • To maintain records in line with internal governance and Homes England compliance requirements
  • Complete site appraisals and market assessments and provide advice on product mix, house type design and market trends to ensure that we deliver homes and services that meet changing market needs and keep us ahead of our competitors.
  • Work with internal clients including Housing services, Asset Management and Sale and Marketing to develop scheme proposals in relation to design, layout, specification, tenure mix, property types and the location which will form part of the final scheme ‘sign off’ process.

We are looking for individuals who are experienced Development Managers with a demonstrable track record of success in generating and delivering new development opportunities within the RP sector, who is a team player and can develop internal and external partnerships and relationships to facilitate the achievement of our clients growth ambition and targets
