Build Recruitment are working with a leading London based University to make the key appointment of Maintenance Manager: £60k - £70k + excellent benefits.

Due to a significant and positive period of change the University has identified the need for a Maintenance Manager to oversee a large team of multi-skilled engineers across their diverse property portfolio.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Maintenance Manager will have an operating budget of £1.5m - £2.5m and will be responsible for ensuring that the Health and Safety requirements of the sites are maintained to the latest regulations and standards ensuring 100% compliance at all times.

The Maintenance Manager will also act as the Authorised Person for Ventilation, Water, Confined Space, Electrical, and Pressure as well as being responsible for scheduling Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) for all sites to ensure an even workload across the campus and ensure all stake holders are informed of the planned work to minimise disruption to services.

About you:

It is essential that applicants have:

A degree in an engineering or building related discipline, or equivalent experience
Experience of CAFM systems and scheduling and their management
Experience of managing and monitoring budgets of at least £2m
Detailed understanding of compliance requirements such as Building Regulations, L8, DDA, COSHH, Asbestos, CDM regulations, ACOP's etc.


Salary: £60k - £70k
Pension: up to 21.6% employer's contribution
Annual Leave: circa 40 days (inclusive of bank holidays)
