A large telecommunications company is looking for a full time permanent Legal Contracts Manager to join their successful business team.  

The business is looking for a talented and pragmatic Legal Contracts Manager with experience in managing and negotiating a wide array of contracts, as well as complying with various obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU).

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for drafting and reviewing different legal documents, including Software Licence Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Partnership/Referral Agreements, Reseller Agreements Referral (Introduction) Agreements and Master Services Agreements

• Negotiating with clients and liaising with internal sales team to ensure contracts accurately reflect the needs of the business

• Managing and keeping up to date storage of contracts, key terms contracts summaries

• Ongoing general consultancy role within the company regarding data protection and ensuring that appropriate mechanisms are in place to uphold fair processing requirements

The Successful Applicant

This Legal Contracts Manager role is based in London and requires:

• Comfortable drafting legal documents in plain English

• Ability to clearly explain legal jargon and concepts to non-legal colleagues

• Understanding of data protection responsibilities

• Ability to successfully implement company-wide policies and procedures

• Comfortable working across different jurisdictions (predominantly UK, US, Europe and Australia) and ability to recognise particular requirements based on jurisdiction

• Excellent planning, organisational and research skills

• Proven track record of managing and reporting on multiple, fast paced projects

• Experience in managing people useful but not essential

• Flexible, self-motivated and happy to take own initiative in learning new concepts

• Keen eye for detail

• Willingness to learn and grow within the company

• Law degree, with LPC completed

• In-house experience required (+5 years* *guidance only, candidates with more or less experience that meet with the role's technical requirements will be considered)

• Excellent spoken and written English

• Knowledge of GDPR is useful but not essential

• Experience working with IT contracts is preferable, but not essential

• Proficient in MS Office
