My client is a global multi-disciplinary consultancy who are currently recruiting for a Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to join their office in Manchester managing projects throughout the North West. My client is looking to recruit an experienced and competent H&S professional to manage the H&S throughout my clients portfolio of residential and commercial properties, they require someone who is able to oversee safety and environmental management systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, 5001 and PAS99) as well as carry out site visits, audits, reports, H&S training etc. The role would report directly to the Head of Health and Safety and you would be responsible for providing guidance and support to various business divisions and management, this position offers an excellent opportunity to develop leadership and client-facing skills, whilst being a part of a growing and highly successful business.


  • Oversee the safety and environmental management systems in accordance with the requirements of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, 5001 and PAS99
  • Conduct gap analysis visits and reports, on site reviews, and ensure the programme of external surveillance audits is up to date
  • Help develop health safety and environmental procedures in conjunction with the Head of Health & Safety
  • Monitor and report on H&S performance and compliance against H&S and Client specific targets and attend Client meetings where required
  • Attend site team meetings and provide health and safety briefings to increase awareness and engagement
  • Conduct Health and Safety audits, tracking trends and working with the facilities management teams to reduce risk
  • Deliver training programmes and evaluate effectiveness to ensure employees are competent with regard to their health, safety and environmental duties
  • Provide support and technical advice to the Property Management and Facilities teams to enable them to undertake their roles and responsibilities for health, safety and the environment


  • Excellent knowledge of ISO 14001, 45001 and 5001 systems, implementing and auditing to retain accreditations
  • Experience of operating in a complex, commercial environment of mixed-use property portfolio
  • GradIOSH or CMIOSH
  • NEBOSH – General Certificate and NEBOSH – Environmental Certificate
  • Competent IT skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, report writing and communication skills
