The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a non-departmental public body sponsored by the Home Office. We provide information to employers and other organisations in England and Wales (and barring information only in Northern Ireland) so they can make informed recruitment and licensing decisions, especially for employees and volunteers working with vulnerable groups. We also determine whether an individual can take up relevant posts by making decisions about inclusion on a barred list.

The successful applicant will lead and manage the delivery, maintenance, performance and continuous improvement of DBS facilities and estates including health and safety management within two locations (Liverpool & Darlington) and maintenance and implementation of effective business continuity plans for the workstream.
Managing a budget of approx. £2m which includes contracts and rent, you will beresponsible for developing a working system to effectively understand and manage the short and longer-term estates pressures, not only for the DBS but working closely with the Ministry of Justice (MOJ), Home Office and other Government departments as deemed necessary.

- • MIWFM (Formerly BIFM), NEBOSH CERT, Tech IOSH;
- • Experience of managing a complex Facility Management Matrix;
- • Experience of managing a cross site team;
- • Experience of managing large budgets and effective financial planning;
- • Ability to produce effective board level reports using Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
