Home to some of the most iconic landmarks that the capital has to offer: Tower Bridge, The South Bank, The Shard, Tate Modern, Shakespeare's Globe and Borough Market, Southwark is a vibrant and enticing borough to live, work and visit.
Working within the Housing and Modernisation directorate, and reporting to the Director of Asset Management, the Head of Investment will be responsible for developing, embedding and championing strategic plans for investment in Southwark's housing estates, asset management and major works to achieve the Council's vision for a Fairer Future.
The Head of Investment will also manage and deliver required outcomes for a portfolio of projects, and provide high quality advice and support on major projects undertaken by the Council which may have significant and long-term impact across the Council's finances and resources.
As a senior member of the Asset Management Team, the Head of Investment positions Holds key responsibility for delivering the required investment in Southwark's housing estates, preparing, monitoring and updating asset management strategy and managing procurement, programme and project management of major works including decent homes set against the Councils 'fair future' agenda with regard to bring the full benefits and opportunities to all Southwark's residents.
Applicants should be qualified to a recognised Housing or Construction degree or have membership of a Chartered Housing or Building professional body as well as having an extensive track record of building project and programme management along with a minimum contract responsibility exceeding £25m per annum.
In return, Southwark Council are offering a salary of £76,074 - £95,700 plus a number of benefits to include:
