Head of Contract Delivery required to lead on the efficient delivery of all construction related activities (predominantly RIBA work stages 4-6), including the day-to-day planning, supervision, direction and monitoring of construction operations, ensuring that projects (Tasks) are delivered in a safe, timely and sustainable manner, whilst achieving project targets and meeting customer expectations.
Be accountable for construction activities particularly focused on ensuring projects are properly administered and delivered to the highest quality and standards, minimising disruption to residents and other stakeholders, whilst driving best value.
Prepare and present performance reports to the Senior Client Construction Manager, Commercial and Compliance Manager, the Executive Team and Cabinet Member relating to works administered by the Construction team and in the absence of the Senior Client Construction Manager you are required to be the spokesperson for all construction related activity with residents or Ward Councilors.
To effectively manage the Client Representatives & Quality Management Team activities to ensure best practices are followed, costs are controlled, and the department maximises its contribution to the company's strategic objectives.
Ensure Client Representative & Quality Management Team members maintain excellent project (Task) related records of general administration, quality, financial, meeting minutes, variations, guarantees and warranties, drawings and the like and demand the same discipline from other project (Task) team members.
Lead and develop the Client Representative & Quality Management team and ensure that the Senior Client Construction Manager and the Commercial and Compliance Manager are properly informed and involved as appropriate, through the provision of timely, relevant and accurate management information, guidance and reports.
Provide accurate and relevant management information for all aspects of the Construction phase, highlighting issues and engaging with internal and external stakeholders to resolve them. Escalate matters to the Senior Client Construction Manager and Commercial and Compliance Manager as appropriate.
Ensure Client Representative & Quality Management team members promptly assess and/or agree any Service Provider(s) time and/or cost of proposal set out in any Service Provider Change Submission or in the event that it is not agreed confirmation of citywest Homes own fair and reasonable assessment within 20 working days from receipt.
Ensure Client Representative & Quality Management team members respond to any Service Provider notification of an agreed event giving rise to an extension of time and/or unavoidable work or expenditure, including any Service Provider's proposal to minimise adverse effects (in accordance with the Risk Register) within 20 Working Days. Ensure any time and cost consequences are responded to by Client Representative Team members within 20 Working Days.
