Are you a proven senior manager in the social housing space with experience in managing planned and responsive repairs programmes?  Perhaps you are currently working for a contractor but are ready for a move to a client-side role?  If so, this is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding property services and facilities management organisation in East London as their new Head of Compliance.

As Head of Compliance, you will oversee a team of around 60, including a number of Supervisors, Managers, specialist trades operatives (including Multi-Trades and Electricians)  and Planners).  You will be responsible for ensuring all works are compliant with relevant industry standards and contractual obligations regarding gas servicing and breakdowns, electrical remedials / upgrades, legionella, asbestos, passenger lifts, FRA (fire risk assessments), fire alarms and emergency lighting.

As part of the newly formed senior management team, you will be the be the operational lead to deliver a market-leading, resident-focused and cost-effective service.  You will ensure the business meets and remains fully compliant with all statutory and regulatory safety obligations, effectively engaging with a range of stakeholders and leading of a multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent outcomes for residents.

To succeed in the post of Head of Compliance, we are looking for a “people” person who has experience in a compliance or quality management role within the construction industry, and proven ability to drive performance and provide technical knowledge across all contracts.  You will have solid experience operating at managerial level withing the housing sector (either from the client side or contractor side – ideally with experience of both!)  You will have a strong background in managing the operational delivery of a programme of works, including management of resources, work planning, customer engagement, quality assurance, to time and within budget.

We are looking for an innovative thinker who is able to develop new solutions and delivery models to improve efficiency, reduce costs and improve quality and customer experience.  With a high level of competency in managing projects within a highly commercialised environment, you will have a proven track record of full supply chain management within a commercial project management environment, and a great understanding of how to effectively manage a DLO in line with statutory and regulatory requirements.
