Head of Communal Heating within L&Q Energy
To be based in either Stratford or Sidcup
Salary starting from £58,000 depending on experience
Essential Car User Allowance £1,300 pa
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a rapidly expanding Energy Team, in the newly created role of Head of Communal Heating. Reporting to the Director of Energy the role will provide leadership and management to the Communal Heating Team, which includes the Communal Heating Project Team, Heat Metering and Billing Team and Energy's Customer Contact Centre. The Head of Communal Heating will also provide commercial support to the Director of Energy to help shape the Business Plan and support continued growth of the company.
With a rapidly expanding heat customer portfolio, growing from 6,500 heat customers to in excess of 30,000 over the next few years this a really exciting time. To ensure we meet the needs and expectations of our growing customer base, and successfully deliver our vision of being a first class heat provider, the team will continue to grow, so offering ample opportunities for personal development and career progression.
You will be required to demonstrate;
Experience of leading and managing a specialist team
A demonstrable track record of establishing relationships with key external stakeholders and partners in the district heating sector
Legal knowledge and experience, particularly in relation to Heat Supply Agreements and ESCOs
Excellent communication skills - to include influencing, negotiation and networking
Experience and understanding of procurement of works and services, including knowledge of OJEU
Strong technical knowledge of communal and district heating systems incorporating boilers, CHP units, ASHP, GSHP and metering systems is desirable.
