Position: Grounds Maintenance Manager

Sector: Social Housing Client – Grounds, Parks and Public spaces

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Package

Location: Southeast England

My client, a leading Housing Maintenance and FM specialist that has been awarded a large contract to provide repairs, maintenance, and voids across the Southern part of the country are on the look for a Grounds Maintenance Manager to help deliver the contract successfully by managing a specialist sub-contractor looking after the grounds, parks, and public spaces. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious Grounds Maintenance Professional to play an integral part of the contract which will be running for over 5+ years.

Main Responsibilities:

Widespread knowledge of commercial grounds and tree maintenance.
Ensure grounds maintenance are delivered in accordance with all requirements
Generate and update plans for the estates within the contract which will include Snow and Ice plans
Work with grounds maintenance provider to ensure sufficient resource is available for the current and upcoming season.
Act as subject matter expert and initial point of escalation for grounds maintenance issues across all estates in contract.
Work with the grounds maintenance provider to produce tree management surveys and assure the delivery of all remedial works.
Produce scope for GiS mapping of the estate and to help deliver the programme
Find opportunities to introduce innovation to improve the service delivery
Ensure the delivery of maintenance to oversized garden
Assist with the resolution of any ground’s maintenance related complaints.
Create a collaborative working relationship with our client and key stakeholders.

Experience and skills

Extensive knowledge of commercial grounds and tree maintenance.
Management level qualification in H&S and Environmental management.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages
Must have experience working within commercial grounds maintenance and landscaping sector.
