Role: Environmental Advisor – Housing / Construction
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Start Date: July
My client is a leading medium sized main contractor who work within the residential sector throughout London and the South East, due to recent growth within the business they are looking to develop their Health, Safety & Environment team from their office in Edgware.
They are on the lookout for an experienced Environmental Advisor with at least 3/5 years experience in a similar position where they have been responsible in improving and maintaining my clients environment business plan, a degree in environment or an environment related subject as well as membership to IEMA and experience of working on residential schemes would be advantageous for the position, you should be comfortable in communicating environmental issues and priorities to senior management and to construction teams.
Preparing and maintaining a construction environmental management plan
Applying for and maintaining compliance with environmental consents and permits
Providing advice and support to management and project delivery teams on avoiding environmental pollution and compliance with environmental legislation
Undertaking regular inspections of environmental compliance on site
Undertaking or supporting environmental audits
Preparing reports for senior management and the client as required by management
Monitoring and reporting carbon footprint
Identifying and providing leadership on environmental improvements
Preparing and delivering environmental briefings and tool box talks
In return my client offers an competitive salary between £40,000 - £45,000 + excellent benefits package.
