Electrical HVAP Engineer

We supply candidates from executive to operative level, and are currently working with a FM company who are looking for an Elecrtrical HVAP engineer based in Bow, East London

This is a great opportunity to work for one of the largest, most successful FM companies which will give you a chance to gain good critical experience and potentially progress within their company. This role as an electrical engineer will require you to work along side other electrical engineers on one of their larger contracts carrying out electrical maintenance work. As an electrical engineer you will be working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00.

Responsibilities as an electrical HVAP engineer:

  • Carry out switching activities in accordance with company acop.
  • Acting as site authorised person for all high voltage maintenance tasks.
  • Carry out the defined planned maintenance regime for all contractual obligations.
  • Carry out repairs, reactive maintenance and minor installation works on plant.
  • Attend, diagnose and repair faults having due regard to customer care in this specific environment.
  • Carry out proactive plant monitoring activities to ensure efficient utilization of plant and equipment
  • Interrogation of operational information systems to support daily operations as well as fault diagnosis
  • Complete the relevant paperwork and report diligently.
  • Any other relevant duties that may be required, some of which may be outside normal working hours.

Requirements:

  • City and Guilds 2360 Parts 1&2 qualification or equivalent.
  • IEE 17th / 18th Edition Regulations
  • HV AP / High voltage
  • Experience in dealing with all types of electrical installation work, within the services sector.
  • Ability to undertake all facets of maintenance and installation requirements as required within the scope of the contract.
  • Be pro-active and have the ability to anticipate and/or diagnose and repair faults.
  • Ability to record work accurately on work sheets and computer-based systems.
  • Pro-active and positive approach to work.
