Job: Data Analyst

Location: Home Based with travel across various sites (mainly Aldershot)

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum + Car + Excellent corporate Benefits Package

The Analytics and Performance team is a new function within the contract and due to significant growth, we are looking for Senior Analysts to join our team. The department will be responsible for producing accurate, current, and insightful Management information to provide all contractual, external and internal functional, performance and insight reporting.  The team is also responsible for optimising service performance, driving adoption, effective business change, and ultimately helping to develop a data-driven organisation.

You will be expected to effectively communicate and present clear information to both internal and external stakeholders, across a multi-site environment, using your strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence, persuade and communicate at all levels

Responsibilities:

  • Translate business requirements into data analytics designs, including data exploration, data analysis, presentation queries, report/dashboard, and analysis models.
  • Advise on reporting and analytics tools selection for individual requirements including consultation with business teams on how to build reports and analytics to understand the what, why and what-if scenarios.
  • Develop rapid prototypes and analytical models from various data sets.
  • Demonstrate tools and data analytics subject matter expertise to provide coaching and guidance to drive self-service capability development within the department and wider business - Developing guides, training videos, briefings, and presentations.
  • Using a Continuous Improvement and change centric approach to identify, recommend, and implement positive change.
  • Contribute to the Power BI platform strategy and functional roadmaps to ensure the analytics and performance service remains technically appropriate to meet business requirements.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by constantly scanning/reviewing the market, attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks.

Naturally, you’ll need to be an excellent stakeholder manager along with the drive and capability to work in a fast-paced agile environment - continuously review the business needs, refine priorities, outline milestones and deliverables and identify opportunities and risks.

Your analytical experience must include Power BI and Excel experience as a minimum but the more analytical and change management experience you can bring is a clear advantage (ie working knowledge of LEAN Six Sigma).

Travel will be required for this role across sites and full flexibility is required as this may be at short notice.
