We are currently looking to speak with experienced Cyclical Works Building Surveyors with experience working within the Social Housing Sector.
The purpose of the role is yo develop and deliver planned maintenance projects to time, budget, resident satisfaction and quality whilst meeting all statutory and business compliance requirements.

This is an ideal role for a proactive candidate who will work well on their own or within a team and who also has the confidence to lead and administer the Term Alliance Contracts.
You will be responsible for all aspects of the cyclical work programmes, you will work alongside asset and Investment teams to deliver a first class service to external customers. You will also brief internal customers on the progress of the cyclical decoration works.
In terms of experience you should have a background in Building Surveying or Project Management or and have experience of delivering works through via a range of construction contracts.
Detailed knowledge of housing construction, component replacement and budget control and management
Experience in managing cyclical works contracts and projects with the ability to: review and agree specifications, manage programme and cashflow projections and make adjustment to align with budgets.
Manage the whole capital works process from scheme inception to project completion ensuring that compliance processes are followed.
Demonstrate excellent awareness of costs, value for money and health & safety risks
Assist in the procurement of the cyclical redecoration long term partnering contracts including the development of the cyclical redecoration specification and contract documentation, selection process and administration and setting up of the contract.
Assist in the development of the Keystone Database to suit the redecoration Contracts including developing relevant Reports and future strategies for projecting annual programmes and the long term development of the cyclical redecoration project.
Survey and assist in the identification and evaluation of redecoration and formulation of redecoration strategies.
Prepare briefs for the contract and brief external specialist consultants appropriately.
Set appropriate scheme programme targets for cyclical redecoration funded projects.
Assess feasibility reports and carry out financial appraisals of the project.
Organise, convene and chair scheme specific Project Team meetings.
Process and record contract payments and fee invoices, monitoring costs against the budget, advising the Surveying Manager (Cyclical) and taking appropriate action as directed.
Manage the handover process for completed dwellings and deal with clearing defects.
Agree final accounts for projects and reconcile final costs against agreed allocated budgets.
