Our client, a national construction contractor, are currently looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join them based in Aldershot.

We are looking for someone who is experienced working in the Social housing/local authority sectors and has a similar background either as a branch manager or operations manager or contracts manager. 

Job role duties -

  • Affect and consistently deliver a profitable branch
  • Ensure work is delivered safely, to the required quality & on time
  • Take responsibility for all work delivered within your Branch
  • Create and lead a high performing team
  • Ensure customer promises are achieved and relationships are developed
  • Achieve financial branch targets
  • Protect the company from financial or other loss
  • Manage the local team and resolve personnel issues with the assistance of the national team
  • Ensure compliance with group process
  • Develop the local team to ensure compliance and to meet the future needs of the business
  • Develop and grow the local business in line with the company objectives and strategy
  • Promote the values of Bell Group at all opportunities

 

Some of the responsibilites -

  • Ensure a safe working environment for employees and safe systems are adhered to
  •  Maintaining close liaison with our H&SE team on performance and audit results
  •  Understand local customers’ needs to maximise relationships and develop further works
  • Take the lead on multi branch contracts where the geography or skill set of the branch is best placed to meet the client’s needs
  • Maintain capability/capacity to deliver to meet customers’ need

 

Qualifications required to undertake the role

• Professional industry Standard or equivalent

• CMI L5 Certificate Management & Leadership

• Pitman Excel – Advanced Users

• CSCS card – Manager / Professionally qualified person

• Completion of iHASCO defined mandatory training modules Personal attributes and other requirements
