Clerk of Works;

A modern multi-discipline practice is looking to add a Clerk of Works to their London team. We need a professional to lead refurbishment schemes in London, Essex and Surrey.

My client is a medium sized practice who undertake projects in the commercial, residential and education sectors across the private and public divisions. The organisation has reputable reputation in the market

We're seeking an experienced professional who has proven construction knowledge and a keen eye to detail. You'll liaise with external stakeholders while representing the company throughout the build process. Provide the Director with detailed progress reports while managing the different stages of construction. The successful candidate will take great pride in their work and provide high quality service.

 

The Role;

  • Refurbishment of residential and commercial structures
  • Provide technical advice
  • Report writing
  • Monitoring progress
  • Managing external stakeholders i.e contractors, tradesman
  • Building rapport with internal and external stakeholders
  • Managing the process from inception to completion
  • Confident to review and challenge design

 

About you;

  • Construction related degree or HNC, NVQ, HND equivalent
  • Member on the Institute of Clerk of Works
  • Proven construction knowledge
  • Familiar with contractual requirements for Clerk of Works and Quality Inspectors
  • Competent in JCT contracts
  • Competent IT skills
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Good eye for detail
  • Full UK Drivers Licence
