The Company:

Build Recruitment provides specialist recruitment services, supplying quality candidates on a temporary or permanent basis to leading organisations throughout the built environment – from executive to operative level.

With offices in London, Manchester and the Southwest, we specialise in Housing, Construction, Facilities Management, Property, Surveying, Health & Safety and Sales. We supply candidates from executive to operative level, and are currently working with a school’s trust, who are looking for a Caretaker based in Plymstock.

Working for a school’s trust this is a fantastic opportunity to utilise your existing basic skills working with tools, health and safety and manual handling. Asbestos, working at height and a valid CSCS card would be desirable, but training can be provided. PPE and some tools would be supplied, but you will be expected to bring basic hand tools.
Working for the trust you’ll be working in a tight-knit family of schools in close proximity of the South West. The role would initially be temporary, but with a very good chance at being permanent.

Day to Day:

Small general building and maintenance repairs

     Emergency lighting testing

     Reporting bigger jobs to contractors

Requirements (Skills & Qualifications):

To have and be able to use basic hand tools

     Basic Health and safety experience/knowledge

Experience with working with asbestos, at height & manual handling is desirable, but training can be provided on site

Benefits:

Split shift pattern with an early start until roughly 11am and then an afternoon shift, covering five days a week and 37 hours

     PPE and some tools supplied

     Induction and training given

An initial temporary role with a very good chance at being permanent, for the right candidate
