My client helps housing providers to make the most of their buildings by transforming and redefining the roofscape in our inner cities by designing and erecting new dwellings on top of existing flat roofs. Their expertise and experience means they can help clients exploit the airspace above their buildings, transform the skyline of our cities and help deal with the chronic shortage of both affordable housing and the lack of new house building.
They are looking for a BDM to work closely with the Group CEO and Divisional Manager and to take autonomy for developing a potfolio of clients and projects that align with the business plan. The BDM will be responsible for identifying individuals at prospective clients and building long term professional relationships and formulating technical specifiactions for projects with all relevant stakeholders.
Ultimately the BDM will be responsible for identifying clients and projects develping the project from conception in to contract formulation and managing the client relationship throughout the build phase and aftercare
Knowledge of relevant building regulations and good industry practice associated with the construction industry (roofing industry)
Knowledge of the British Standard Code of Practice
Knowledge of the application of roofing systems and lightweight metal framing
Knowledge of the regulatory framework
Knowledge and experience of building practice and emerging trends
Awareness of any construction developments and new guidelines
Experience in a specification sales construction related environment or similar where relationship management is paramount.
Experience of maintaining and developing customer and contractor relationships
Experience of working in the construction industry with knowledge of public sector procurement and contracts
Experience of developing detailed written specifications and reports.
Working to tight deadlines
Experience of delivering presentations
Experience of working independently and achieving targets.
