Our client, a medium sized construction contractor based in Surrey, are currently looking for an experienced book keeper to join their growing team.You will report directly in to one of the companies drectors and will liaise with other accounts and office staff.
General office administration and maintaining financial records using Sage Line 50 accounting system, payroll using Sage payroll, preparing returns for VAT, PAYE and CIS and with others overseeing the financial health of the company. Preparation of year-end and monthly management accounts for review by financial adviser and external accountants. Assist in preparation of budgets and forecasts in conjunction with financial adviser and management.
Qualifications/Skills needed to apply for this role;
Qualified (minimum AAT),, knowledge of accounting principles, experience of using Sage Line 50 and Sage payroll, Word and Excel spreadsheets.. Must be able to work independently and be able to liaise with all levels of management including Directors, external accountants/advisers, quantity surveyors and site management. Must be self-motivated and confident with high professional standards and able to maintain confidentiality where appropriate. This position requires someone to start immediately on a freelance basis but will lead to a permanent position should the selected candidate perform well.
