Role: Bid Manager (Social Housing) 

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 plus package including car or car allowance 

Location: Hertfordshire & flexible home working 

 

JOB PURPOSE

To manage, co-ordinate and write larger maintenance tenders, generally in excess of £3 Million per annum.

 

KEY TASKS

Evaluation of tender requirements

Identification and management of tasks required to write and complete tenders

Liaison with internal teams

Development of bid solutions in conjunction with operators

Articulation of solutions in the form or method statements

Active management of the process – with regard to clarifications and deadline requirements

(Where applicable) participation in competitive dialogue meetings, site visits and bid presentations

Production of relevant information to support the bid management process

To contribute to the continuous improvement in the tendering process

To liaise with colleagues to ensure best quality bid submission

To carry out other duties associated with the bid management function

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Proven track record in managing bids

Proven experience in writing high quality method statements

Experience of liaising with teams (particularly operators) in order to develop deliverable solutions

Competency in MS Office software

The ability to work to tight deadlines

Ability to articulate USPs to clients

Ability to maintain a flexible attitude to work task and workload to ensure tender deadlines are achieved.

Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.

Ability to work on own initiative.

 

DESIRABLE

Experience in In Design or equivalent packages

Presentational skills
