Associate Director, Building Surveying; We are seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor at Associate Director level for our clients' Central London Office. A leading national property consultancy operating across a variety of sectors. The team specialises across Building Surveying in Project Management, Professional work (dilapidations, surveys), Technical Due Diligence / Monitoring and Neighbourly Matters. The role will report into the 4 directors and the specialism is flexible.

The role will sit within the Building Consultancy team undertaking a variety of core building surveying disciplines and some management responsibility,

Main tasks:

  1. Work in a full autonomous capacity in the Building Consultancy team.
  2. To contribute towards departmental financial performance targets.
  3. To liaise (where appropriate) with other departments and divisions.
  4. To represent the client and the full range of property related services available to clients.

Main capabilities:

Technical Skills

  • Extensive building surveying experience (or specialist)
  • Ability to prioritise conflicting workloads.
  • Capable of diligently working alone or as part of a team.

Organisational Focus

  • Understand the structure of a multi-disciplinary firm of surveyors and the services offered.
  • Have an awareness of how Building Consultancy adds value to other departments.
  • Is a strong team player and is willing to develop their own skills and support the BC team to improve their delivery and profile.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Understands and listens to the personal needs of others.
  • Communicates and converses well and is clearly understood by others in team.

Analytical Reasoning

  • Good attention to detail by regularly producing carefully prepared, accurate work.
