Position: Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Sector: Social Housing – Planned Maintenance

Salary: £26,000 - £32,000 + Package

Location: Warwickshire

My client, an offshoot from one of the leading companies in main contracting and specialising in housing maintenance operating mainly in the Midlands and Northern Counties are on the look for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the business due to continuous growth.

Main Responsibilities:

Working alongside a Quantity Surveyor and other members in the team to negotiate and control the commercial aspects of the supply chain
You will be part of building long term, influential relationships with preferred suppliers
The scope of works include repairs, maintenance and void repair services for residents across an area that includes 10,000+ properties

Experience and skills

Experience of working as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor in a construction related environment
SOR Coding or NHF Schedule experience would be good
Quantity Surveying or relevant, construction related degree
Basic Contractual awareness
Good work ethic and the ability to work under a Project Surveyor and within a team of Surveyors of different levels of knowledge.
You will be able to liaise with Client and have the personal skills to create effective relationships with the team
