Position: Assistant Land & Partnership Manager

Salary:  £Neg plus package 

Location: Bedfordshire 


Main Purpose of the role

To support the Head of Land and Partnerships to source and identify suitable and viable development and partnership
opportunities; carry initial research and coordination of relevant information required for scheme viability appraisals; to
promote the company brand; and to develop long term relationships with key stakeholders to enable to delivery of the
regional and group business plan.


Main Duties / Accountability

Initial Scheme Appraisal stage
 Source site/ opportunity specific information from the planning portal, consultants, agents etc
 Initial Review of information ie. Produce accurate Schedule of Accommodation; identify key risks and factors that will impact scheme viability
 Desktop market research for sales values and apply to site specific considerations
 Work with colleagues to ensure Initial Cost Plans are robust and delivered on time
 Work with colleagues to identify potential exit strategies and partners
 Liaison with 3rd parties, clients and partners to ensure initial revenue forecasts are accurate and aligned with internal expectations
 Produce initial scheme appraisal to identify viable schemes
 Liaise with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of all relevant information
 Identify areas which can increase scheme viability such as site optimisation or value engineering options
 Assist Head of Land and Partnerships with day to day duties

Detailed Appraisal stage
 Work with colleagues and 3rd parties to produce formal advice or information such as detailed cost plans or formal sales advice
 Work with colleagues to ensure appraisals and business plans are aligned
 Input data into development appraisal
 Work with colleagues and partners to identify key risks and mitigation options

Other aspects of the role
 Attend networking events
 Attend seminars etc to promote the company brand and regional and national capabilities
 Attend meetings with Head of Land and Partnerships
 Assist with bid writing team if necessary
 Take and issue notes from meetings when necessary



 Good English and Maths
 Basic understanding of the development/construction processes
 Ability to work with senior colleagues and partners
 Commercial acumen
 Ability to work autonomously
 Experience of achieving deadlines
 Ability to perform under pressure

 Experience in a construction/ development setting

 Strong communication and reasoning skills

 Ability to think laterally
