Are you currently in a Supervisory/ lead position and feel like the time has come to progress into Contract Management?

An exciting prospect of working for an established FM service provider has arisen. My client is looking for an Assistant Contract Manager to be based in a trophy building in the City of London.

The successful Assistant Contract Manager will have a strong understanding of Building Services and Facilities with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance ideally within critical environments and will hold supervisory/ lead experience. In return the company are offering a competitive salary, overtime to the Assistant Contract Manager and the chance to acquire the further knowledge required to make the step into contract management.

Working with the Maintenance team across the contract, the successful Assistant Contract Manager will be required to carry out the following tasks.

  • Report directly into the Contract Manager
  • Assist the Contract Manager in with the day to day running of the contract
  • Assist in the management of all maintenance staff on the contracts
  • Manage agreed KPI and SLA's alongside the Contract Manager
  • Arrange specialist sub-contractors
  • Management of all reports/site log books (Working with the Contract Manager)
  • Ensure all paperwork is up to date on each contract and ready for audits
  • Attend client meetings if required
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of staff and clients
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a demanding and varying workload
  • Ability to deliver projects on time and on budget
  • Responsible for managing the companys quality procedures on site
  • Recruitment of any new staff
  • Responsible for the development of all staff, which will include annual appraisals
  • Manage staff absenteeism and be responsible for disciplinary issues
  • Management of client relationships on a daily basis

Hours of Work & Salary

  • Up to ¬£55,000
  • Monday to Friday (40 hour week)
  • 08:00am to 17:00pm
  • Overtime available
  • 25 Days holiday + Bank Holidays

  • Qualified in engineering discipline (Electrical or Mechanical); C&G, HNC, HND or higher
  • Must have current HVAP tikets
  • A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
  • Previous experience of managing an engineering team (Ideal)
  • Experience of service delivery across a commercial contract
  • Attend client meetings if required
  • Offer technical support to the Contract Manager, Client and the Maintenance team
