Ahead of International Women’s Day 2024, we sat down with some of the wonderful women in our London office to discuss how women are important in our industry!

White Collar – Lucy Van der Gucht

“Having women in construction brings a whole new set of perspectives and skill sets to the industry – diversification is so important for a productive workplace. I think now that we’re starting to see a marginal increase of women in construction it’s opening up a lot of doors and giving inspiration to women who are considering getting into the industry!”

Construction – Thomasina Swingleshurst

“Women bring a fresh energy to any situation, a kind and emotionally supportive voice to lift others up. The power of equality can mean better workplaces and better leadership resulting in better performances.”

Facilities Management – Lizzie Lee

“Women are important in this industry to promote gender equality. Although a predominantly male-led industry, I believe women bring a lot of skills and make good team members. Women can communicate with ease and are tough but understanding. Overall BAD ASS! ”

Blue Collar – Leah Seber

“Women bring an empathetic approach to the recruitment industry, enhancing diversity when selecting candidates. Their communication and strong interpersonal skills can build meaningful connections with both employers and candidates leading to strong working relationships.”
