Build Recruitment are working with a South London based NHS Trust to appoint a Fabric Technician: £18.45 p/h (umbrella PAYE)

Reporting to the Head of Estates, the Fabric Technician will work in accordance with the requirements of HTMs, HBNs, British Standards, Model Specifications and all Statutory Regulations, Codes of Practice and Trust Policies and Procedures.

The Fabric Technician will be responsible for the supervision of repairs, fault-finding and routine planned maintenance to all building Fabric services and equipment across the Trust, ensuring compliance with all Statutory Regulations, HTMs, Trust Standards, policies, and procedures.

Other duties that the Fabric Technician will undertake are to maintain and carry out first line fault finding on doors, locks, windows, and other elements of the hospitals building fabric to, when possible, take steps to resolve or mitigate the impact to the Clinical Operations of the Trust.

About you:

Industry recognised qualification/apprenticeship in a building fabric/maintenance subject
Knowledge of maintenance methodologies
Good knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation and Building Regulations
Knowledge of HTMs, HBNs and Estates specific legislation
A full UK driving licence
